Awards and Amish programs made Nielsen’s Top 10 in the weekly ratings released on Tuesday. The populist People’s Choice Awards on CBS finished 7th, while NBC’s two-hour special about a Pennsylvania Amish family that bewilders its way to California, placed 10th. The usual gang of suspects in the Top Five: “Cosby,” “Cheers” etc. Politics finished out of the money as usual, with none of the networks’ Super Tuesday coverage ranking higher than 58th (NBC). A full ratings list is on Page 9.

* “L.A. Law” plunged from its usual Top-10 spot to 23rd place--its reward for serving up reruns after sweeping through February with new episodes.
