Morocco Seeks Global Aid to Help Combat Locusts

RABAT, Morocco —
The government of Morocco has called for international aid to help fight a rapidly growing threat to its crops from huge swarms of locusts, officials said.
Swarms estimated at 20 miles long and several miles wide have been sighted in northern Mauritania, the Western Sahara and southern Algeria, according to the U.N.
