World Record Is a Laughing Matter

Peruvian lawyer Felipe Carbonell claimed a world record Sunday after telling jokes non-stop for more than 48 hours in a hotel in this Portuguese capital.

Spinning yarns in five languages--Spanish, Portuguese, English, French and Italian--he said he hoped to carry on until today to set an unbeatable record and raise even more money for cancer charities.

Carbonell had held the previous record before being recently out-gagged by American Tim Benker.
