Lazers Are Beaten by Wichita, 5-3

Second-period goals by Dave Hoggan, Mike Fox and Mike Stankovic led the Wichita Wings to a 5-3 victory over the Lazers in a Major Indoor Soccer League game Tuesday night.

The Lazers scored first when Doug Neeley connected with 5:33 left in the first quarter.

Hogan, Fox and Stankovic scored in the last 2 1/2 minutes of the second quarter to give the Wings a 3-1 lead.

Micky Thomas hit a power-play goal for Wichita in the third, and Erik Rasmussen scored in the fourth.

The Lazers’ other goals came in the fourth quarter by Paul Child and Tony Blanker.

Wichita improved its record to 20-26. The Lazers fell to 23-23.
