Local News In Brief : Fines Set for Permit Violations
The Hermosa Beach City Council voted unanimously this week to fine violators of conditional use permits.
Fines range from $50 for the first offense to $300 for a fourth violation of the same permit condition within a year. The ordinance takes effect April 21.
The only recourse the city now has against violators is to revoke the permits, which in some cases is too drastic a step, officials said.
