Mexico Short 6 Million Dwellings, Report Says

MEXICO CITY —
Mexico has a housing shortage of 6 million dwellings nationwide, the business daily El Financiero said Wednesday.
It said the situation is most critical in the Mexico City metropolitan area, where there is a shortage of 1.2 million housing units.
The statistics were presented Tuesday at a conference organized by the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party’s Center for Political, Economic and Social Studies.
