Local News in Brief : Hospital Gets 2 Grants
Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance has received $150,000 in grants from two organizations.
The Del E. Webb Foundation gave $100,000, which will be used to expand same-day surgery at the hospital. According to the hospital, 60% of its operations are done on an outpatient basis.
The Fritz B. Burns Foundation gave $50,000, which will help pay for a center for cardiology services.
