2 Take Armored Truck and $1 Million in N.Y.
Associated Press
NEW YORK —
Two armed men handcuffed a guard in an armored truck Friday and took $1 million, police said.
Authorities said two employees of Rapid Armor had stopped for breakfast and left a third guard in the back of the truck. A gunman entered the back of the truck and handcuffed the guard, officers said, and another man got into the truck and drove it away.
Police quoted witnesses as saying that the men later stopped the truck and fled in a van, taking with them bags containing $1 million.
