‘Caring Hospital’ and Helicopters
How interesting it is that Western Medical Center is running full page ads in The Times trumpeting the fact that it is a “caring hospital”! The Western Medical Center recently canceled its helicopter program to care for and transport severely injured patients in Orange County to the closest trauma center.
Why did they do this? Because it was costing them $25,000 a month to run this program. They obviously didn’t care enough about the injured and traumatized accident victims to spend the $25,000, but I am sure they are spending more than $25,000 a month on their advertising campaign. So much for this so-called caring institution.
