Local News in Brief : Santa Ana : 22-Year-Old Man Dies From Gunshot Wounds
A 22-year-old Santa Ana man was found fatally wounded early Monday when police arrived to investigate a report of gunshots near South Harmon Street, authorities said.
The man, identified as Israel Garrero Flores, died at a local hospital at 2 a.m., about 30 minutes after he was discovered by police officers, Santa Ana police said.
Flores was found lying on the ground at 801 S. Harmon St. with a single gunshot wound, police said.
Police said they know of no motive for the murder, which remains under investigation, but added that the shooting was not believed to be related to gang activity.
