A San Diego policeman arrested over the weekend in the fatal shooting of his wife remained jailed without bail pending arraignment later this week. Pablo J. Agrio, 29, was scheduled to be arraigned Monday, but officials delayed the hearing to gather more evidence and information before deciding on possible charges. Agrio was booked for investigation of murder in the off-duty shooting of his wife, Alma, 24, who was a recruit correctional officer at the San Diego County Sheriff’s Academy. Police said the couple argued when the woman returned home from a night out with a friend. The argument escalated when the woman grabbed her husband’s service revolver from a compartment in the headboard of the couple’s bed. The weapon discharged during a struggle.
