Two dozen Kurds burned on their faces, backs and hands from reported Iraqi poison gas attacks that killed 5,000 people were flown to four European countries for treatment. An Iran Air ambulance plane touched down in Vienna, Geneva, Frankfurt and London, dropping off six patients at each location, then headed for New York with six more wounded, the Iranian Embassy in London said. At least five children were among the wounded. Iran charged that the Iraqi air force dropped cyanide and mustard gas bombs on three Kurdish towns in Iraq.
