CMS Enhancements has agreed to buy the Singapore-based computer tape drive business of North Atlantic Industries Inc., a Hopkinton, Mass., computer products company, for an undisclosed sum. CMS, a Tustin-based manufacturer of computer storage products, said it expects to complete its acquisition of North Atlantic’s Data Storage Products Division in early May. CMS has previously marketed personal computer tape drives manufactured by other companies. The North Atlantic deal will enable CMS to manufacture the drives itself. A CMS official said recent revenue figures for the Singapore operation were unavailable. The unit has fewer than 50 employees.
