Versatile jazz artist Benny Carter, celebrating his 65th year in music, will by honored by Harvard University April 14-15 as the school’s Kayden artist in residence. Carter will hold a master class with selected Harvard and Radcliffe musicians and will be featured in concert at Sanders Theatre with the Harvard jazz band and special guests James Williams, Gray Sargent, Whit Browne and Alan Dawson. The alto saxophonist-trumpeter-composer-arranger wrote the music for many motion pictures and TV series.
