Thomas R. Gaian has been named president and chief executive of Kemper Capital Markets Inc. Gaian will be responsible for integrating new trading opportunities within the Kemper group of broker dealers including Bateman Eichler, Hill Richards Inc. (Los Angeles); Blunt Ellis Loewl Inc. (Milwaukee); Prescott Ball Turbin Inc. (Cleveland); Boettcher & Co. (Denver); and Gulfstream Financial Associates Inc. (Boca Raton, Fla.).

Gaian will continue as senior executive vice president at Bateman Eichler in charge of the trading division.
