Teen and McDonald’s--a Laughing Matter?

I have to laugh at the controversy over the teen-ager who was asked to leave McDonald’s late at night when the mother dropped her off.

Why is the mother dropping her daughter off at that hour, even at a “family” place? The whole “family” wasn’t present. Why would she presume to hold McDonald’s responsible for the welfare of her child?

It is worth a laugh except: The mother is effectively telling the teen-ager she doesn’t have to be a responsible adult, and the mother is teaching the daughter it is all right to injure another party (McDonald’s) for revenge, money or any other things she might care to do it for.

And we wonder why we have the problems in the United States that we have!
