Chile Police Use Clubs, Water to End Protest

SANTIAGO, Chile —
Police used water cannons and clubs to scatter scores of dissidents protesting lack of progress in the investigation of the killing three years ago of three Communist activists.
Reporters and witnesses saw at least 30 protesters being detained during the demonstration Thursday. Jose Manuel Parada, Santiago Natino and Manuel Guerrero were abducted on March 29, 1985.
