From Associated Press

Jackson overwhelmed Dukakis in Democratic Party caucuses Saturday in the Virgin Islands to win three of the territory’s delegate votes at the national convention. Jackson got 634 votes to 37 for Dukakis. They were the only two candidates on the ballot.

Six people, each casting one-half vote at the convention, were chosen in the caucuses.

In addition to the six people being selected Saturday, four members of the Democratic National Committee from the Virgin Islands automatically will be delegates to the national convention. Each will cast one-quarter vote at the convention, giving the Virgin Islands a total of four votes.
