Italian Women Win Right to Elect Abortion

ROME —
Italian women have the right to choose abortion without telling their husbands or obtaining their consent, Italy’s constitutional court ruled last week.
The court ruling was made after a husband claimed damages for loss of paternity when his wife had an abortion in 1984 without his knowledge.
