Toth Expected to Be in Goal for the Sockers

Socker goalkeeper Zoltan Toth, who has been unhappy since being issued a red card and kicked out of a 6-4 loss at Tacoma last Wednesday, will be in goal for the Sockers’ next game Wednesday night in Kansas City, Coach Ron Newman said Monday.

Toth, who has the Major Indoor Soccer League’s best goals-against average at 2.80, was ejected in the second quarter after drawing his second yellow card of the game for pushing Gary Heale. Earlier in the match, Toth had a shoving match with Preki.

Toth did not attend practice last Friday and did not suit up for the Sockers’ 5-4 loss to Minnesota Saturday. Jim Gorsek played in goal Saturday and also finished up for Toth in Tacoma.
