Ford Motor Co. is considering starting production of a second vehicle at the Edison, N.J., factory that makes its best-selling car, the Escort, plant officials said. Plant manager Philip Staley said the facility would need a $200-million overhaul to handle production of another vehicle, such as the Ranger truck.
