IBM said it would sell two new personal computer publishing software packages from Interleaf Inc., a software firm based in Cambridge, Mass. International Business Machines Corp. also said Interleaf would develop publishing software products for its larger computers, giving Interleaf access to IBM’s sales network and customer base. With the announcement, IBM will market a publishing package for the most powerful PS/2 computer, the Model 80. “This shows that IBM’s corporate publishing strategy is increasingly being centered on Interleaf software,” said Robert Herwick, an analyst with Hambrecht & Quist in San Francisco.
