A U.S. Army helicopter crashed in a wooded, hilly area near Stuttgart, West Germany, killing the two people aboard, the pilot, identified as 1st Lt. Glen P. Adams, 28, and a German civilian passenger, whose identity was not immediately released. A statement issued by the U.S. Army 7th Corps said the four-place OH-58A Kiowa observation helicopter was on a routine mission when it crashed near Kirchheim, about 12 miles southeast of Stuttgart.
