“The Lost Boys,” the teen vampire movie starring Kiefer Sutherland and Jami Gertz, continues to rampage at the top of the Billboard magazine video rental chart. This surprise hit is up two notches to No. 2. Insiders speculate that Sutherland, a new teen heartthrob, may be “Boys’ ” big lure. Despite bad reviews, romantic newcomer “Surrender,” starring Sally Field and Michael Caine, is No. 15, once again showing the power of major stars in the rental market. The thriller “Slam Dance” (No. 20) could go much higher on the rental chart, but the new spoof “Amazon Women on the Moon” (No. 30) may have already peaked. “Lady and the Tramp” is still No. 1 on the sales chart, which measures sales to retailers and distributors.

* This James Bond adventure might beat the living daylights out of its competition on the rental chart on its way to No. 1. In two weeks it’s up to No. 8. But even invincible 007 may find the cops at the top--”Beverly Hills Cop II” and “Stakeout” too tough to beat.
