As expected, John Hart, the former CBS and NBC anchorman-correspondent, will anchor the Christian Science Monitor’s new half-hour weeknight news program, “Monitor NewsWorld,” premiering in September from Boston. The newspaper said Thursday that the program will examine significant issues and events from a “global perspective.” The program will maintain bureaus in London, Toyko and Washington, along with the paper’s 22 domestic and overseas bureaus. The newspaper is working on distribution agreements for the program. Hart, 56, left NBC last month after 13 years there. The new program’s on-air reporters include Hodding Carter III, who has worked in public TV and now will be the program’s “special” Washington correspondent.
