DH Technology said sales and earnings for the quarter ended March 31 will be “down substantially” compared to the same quarter last year because of “material shortages of certain critical components” that are supplied by foreign manufacturers.

DH Technology, a manufacturer of components for impact computer printers, said the problems will be resolved in the “near future” because it has found additional suppliers.

Earlier this week, the company announced the completion of the acquisition of Eaton Printer Products in Riverton, Wyo., an acquisition that will result in a substantial increase in DH Technology’s revenue for the coming quarter.
