Missile Scores 9th Success

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. —
The Trident 2 submarine missile on Thursday scored its ninth success in 10 test launchings, hurling an unarmed warhead to an undisclosed Atlantic Ocean target. “The test was a success,” said Lt. Cmdr. Jerry Simmons, spokesman for the Naval Ordnance Test Unit.
