Silicon Systems reported that net income increased to $2.8 million for the second quarter ended March 26, contrasted with net income of $325,000 a year earlier. Revenues rose 44%, to $28.1 million from $19.5 million a year ago. It was Silicon Systems’ fourth consecutive quarter of record revenue, the Tustin-based manufacturer of integrated circuits said. For the first six months of fiscal 1988, net income was $5.2 million, contrasted with the $627,000 posted for the first half of fiscal 1987. Revenue totaled $53.8 million, up 46% from the $36.9 million in the comparable period a year ago. New orders for the second quarter of fiscal 1988 were $35.1 million, 80% higher than the $19.5 million reported for the like period a year ago.
