A 77-year-old Milan businesswoman has been charged by Italian authorities with involvement in the 1982 Banco Ambrosiano crash, Italy’s biggest private banking failure. A warrant for the arrest of Anna Bonomi Bolchini on charges of complicity in fraudulent bankruptcy, was issued Friday by magistrates probing the collapse of the bank, which left $1.3 billion in bad debts. Bonomi, one of Italy’s most prominent women financiers, was allowed to remain at home because of ill health.
