A Foster City man died when he apparently jumped or fell from the Golden Gate Bridge. The body of William Seely, believed to be in his early 30s, was found in San Francisco Bay by a boater. Another mariner told the Coast Guard he had seen a person or object fall from the huge span a short time earlier. At least 851 people have died in leaps from the Golden Gate Bridge since it opened in 1937.
