Something Rotten in Paris--What?
From Reuters
PARIS —
Rotten egg smells enveloped Paris for the second time in a week Wednesday, and nauseated residents jammed Fire Department telephone lines with calls for advice.
Firemen said a sulfurous stench drifting across the Seine seemed to emanate from south of the Eiffel Tower. But weather service officials, who monitor pollution, said they could not pinpoint its source.
The odor first offended Parisian nostrils last Thursday, lingering all day before it disappeared without a trace--or official explanation.
