Boise Cascade Corp. said its income rose 70% to $68.5 million for its first quarter, compared to $40.2 million for the year-ago period. The Boise, Idaho, integrated forest products firm, attributed its record performance largely to favorable supply-and-demand ratios, price increases for its paper products, restructuring and cost-reduction programs.
