Bank of Southern California reported that net income rose 55%, to $159,000, for the first quarter ended March 31, up from $102,000 a year ago. Assets rose 33%, to $78.6 million, compared with $58.9 million a year earlier, and deposits rose 36%, to $72.9 million, up from $53.5 million a year earlier.
