A 22-year-old man was shot to death early Tuesday in a motel parking lot, police said.

The body of Armando Madera Bailon was found in front of a room at the Aloha Hotel, 2409 S. Main St., at about 2:30 a.m., police said.

A suspect in the shooting, Ignacio Castro Tores, 22, of Santa Ana, was arrested later Tuesday morning at his home, Lt. Bob Chavez said.

Bailon, a laborer whose address is unknown, was shot once in the chest, apparently with a .22-caliber handgun that was found at the scene, Chavez said. The body was discovered by the motel manager.
