Delegate Number Error in N.Y. Laid to Computer

NEW YORK — Because of a computer problem at News Election Service, incorrect totals were reported for delegates won by the Democratic candidates in the New York primary Tuesday.
The correct totals are: Massachusetts Gov. Michael S. Dukakis, 164; the Rev. Jesse Jackson, 89; and Tennessee Sen. Albert Gore Jr., 2.
The News Election Service is a pool operation that tabulates unofficial returns for major news organizations.
