Farmers, nuns, priests and legislators waved banners saying “Land, Not Bullets.” The Philippine Congress is trying to complete land reform legislation, a key plank in President Corazon Aquino’s platform when she took office in 1986. Speakers denounced the land reform bill as a sham.
