Rites Today for King, Ex-Burbank Mayor
Funeral services will be held today for former Burbank mayor Carl M. King, who died at his Santa Clarita home Thursday of natural causes. He was 79.
King was mayor of Burbank in 1953 and 1954. He served on the Burbank City Council from 1953 to 1957 and was a former member of the Burbank Chamber of Commerce and the Burbank chapter of the Kiwanis Club.
King is survived by his wife, Virginia; five sons; one daughter; 31 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services are at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Burbank. Burial is to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills.
