General to Be Promoted

WASHINGTON — President Reagan has nominated Air Force Maj. Gen. Anthony J. Burshnick for promotion to lieutenant general and assignment as vice commander of the Military Airlift Command, the Pentagon announced Friday. Burshnick, 51, would replace Lt. Gen. Robert D. Springer, who will retire on Oct. 1.
