Committee recommendations for a city-sponsored child-care center will be submitted to the Irvine City Council at its meeting Tuesday. The council Dec. 15 directed the Child Care Committee to study a proposal for operation of the Irvine Child Development Center. The committee will recommend Tuesday that the city form a nonprofit corporation to operate the center and loan the corporation $182,000 in start-up funds.
