AIDS and Insurers

The simple fact is that this AIDS victim received the same treatment as any other insured person who lied on his application. His claims were denied and his policy rescinded. He lied about his hepatitis history.

When will AIDS advocates start to accept that their clients should be treated the same as any other person with a dread disease? That they are subject to sound underwriting rules like people with cancer, heart disease and so on?

I have great empathy for all persons with deadly diseases including AIDS. I have been a financial supporter of AIDS Project Los Angeles in the past. If they don’t start telling the truth, and expect to live up to the same standards as the rest of us, I will no longer support them.
