Woman’s Body Found; Police Suspect Hit-Run
A 37-year-old woman was found dead in the middle of a street in Garden Grove early Saturday, the apparent victim of a hit-and-run car accident.
The woman was identified as Joanna Lyon, a transient.
Police officials said an autopsy revealed massive injuries consistent with those caused by the impact from a car.
The body was found about 3:20 a.m. on West Street south of Chapman Avenue.
Lt. Scott Hamilton said Sunday that an investigation is continuing.
