Cerritos : Rabbitt Is Mayor 5th Time
There is not much new about the new mayor of Cerritos. Barry Rabbitt, a councilman since 1970, has been chosen for the mayoral post for a record fifth time.
He succeeds Daniel Wong, who was sworn in on the City Council for his third term last week, along with newcomer Paul Bowlen. Bowlen replaces Donald Knabe, who did not run for reelection.
Councilwoman Diana Needham, first elected in 1978, was named mayor pro tem by her colleagues. She served as mayor in 1980-81 and in 1985-86.
