UCLA Researchers Win Fellowships
Three UCLA researchers have received Alfred P. Sloan Foundation fellowships, which support research by young faculty members.
The two-year, $25,000 awards went to Mladen Bestvina, assistant professor of mathematics, and Peter Felker and Robert L. Whetten, both assistant professors of physical chemistry.
The fellowships are awarded to faculty members under 32 years of age who are beginning their research careers in chemistry, physics, mathematics, economics, neurosciences and related interdisciplinary fields.
