Seattle anchorwoman Jean Enersen, who is visiting the U.S.S.R. this week for KING-TV, said she was told by a Soviet broadcasting official that the segment wouldn’t be broadcast because “it would cause too much pain for the Soviet people, and they’re not ready to start dealing with these issues.” Instead, another report prepared by Enersen and her crew about economic reforms in the Soviet consumer sector was broadcast Wednesday, she said.
