Column on TreePeople

On behalf of TreePeople’s staff and volunteers, I’d like to tell you how much we enjoyed the witty write-up by T. W. McGarry of our “citizen foresters” program (Around the Valley, March 30).

Most of what’s been written about us tends to be a bit more formal, so it was great to see a piece that, without making light of work we do, successfully pointed up the element of fun. After all, if Nancy and her crew didn’t enjoy the work and feel it was important, they wouldn’t keep coming back!
