Inland Empire Conference to Cite Positives
“A Public/Private Partnership for Progress” will be the theme of the 1988 Inland Empire West Conference on Wednesday at the Red Lion Inn in Ontario.
The event, sponsored by the cities and Chambers of Commerce of Chino, Fontana, Montclair, Ontario, Rancho Cucamonga, Upland and the Inland Empire Economic Council, will bring together business and government leaders to review achievements and opportunities of Inland Empire West. Reservations are available through the Greater Ontario Visitors and Convention Bureau.
James E. Barton, president of Barton Development and conference chairman, noted that Inland Empire West is a prime choice for real estate investment or relocations in business and industry.
“The county offers a vast labor pool, millions of square feet of new commercial/industrial facilities available for lease or sale, an unsurpassed transportation network, including an international airport and 20,000 acres of developable land,” he said.
Sen. Pete Wilson (R-Calif.) will speak on “The Pacific Rim Meets the Inland Empire.” The luncheon speaker will be J. Harold Street, executive vice president of the Koll Co.
