Mack Lobell, considered the fastest trotter in harness racing history, Sunday won the $25,000 Invitational Trot at the Meadows.

Driven by John Campbell, Mack Lobell was timed in 1:57, a track record for 4-year-old trotting stallions. The previous mark was 1:58, set in 1985 by Oakmont.

Mack Lobell has earned more than $1.92 million in three years of racing. He is owned by Lou Guida of New York, N.Y. He was purchased for just under $17,000 in 1984.
