LOS ANGELES COUNTY - News from May 3, 1988

William E. Pichler, president and chief executive of Eastman, an office products dealer, has been named president-elect of AAM Inc., the Signal Hill headquarters for all American subsidiaries of David E. Jones, an Australian conglomerate. He has also been appointed director of the David Jones. He assumes these new responsibilities July 1 upon the retirement of William S. Hansen, present chairman of AAM. Ruben Recio, Eastman vice president-finance, will assume the responsibilities as chief financial officer of AAM effective Sept. 1. In addition to Eastman, AAM also owns Buffums department stores.
