Sockers to Keep Ticket Funds Separate

Share

The Sockers can establish a separate account for money collected from 1988-89 season tickets, a judge ruled Monday in Federal Bankruptcy Court.

Socker President Ron Cady said the money will be refunded to season-ticket buyers if the Sockers, who filed for protection from their creditors under Chapter 11 of the federal bankruptcy code, cease operations after this season.

The money will be placed in a separate account so that it will not be used to help pay the Sockers’ creditors during the franchise’s reorganization.
