AMR Corp., the parent of American Airlines, threatened to terminate its $41.7-million merger agreement with Wings West Airlines unless certain issues are resolved by May 10. Wings West, a San Luis Obispo-based commuter airline, said the dispute involves its agreement to buy 10 advanced turboprop aircraft from British Aerospace for $100 million. Joanne Dowty, Wings West marketing vice president, said the airline is attempting to renegotiate its agreement with British Aerospace “to American’s satisfaction.”
